BLOG ACTION DAY 2008 POVERTY

thanx alot to mr JILAL,,,,,,,who has dedicated this video to me ..it was a real pleasure for me

IT'S THE WORLD BLOG ACTION DAY AGAINST POVERTY 2008 AT 15TH OCTOBER...........SO HERE ARE SOME GREAT IDEAS FOT IT ............
Do not overeat on that day.
Save electricity on that day and contribute the equivalent savings to a local charity
. Donate that grocery money to a local food bank.
Be homeless for a day/night.
Stop putting off adopting a child through an organization like Compassion International (or adopt another one).
Get a group together to go door-to-door collecting canned foods for your local soup kitchen/shelter.
Take a homeless person to dinner and actually sit/talk with him.
Stop being lazy. Find a way to do your job better so that you can save an hour a day, or be that much more productive.
Stop buying junk to make yourself look pretty and donate it to homeless people and hungry people.
Make flyers to stick in the local library.
If you have a musical instrument you no longer use, donate to the still-struggling musicians and students
Find a gripping picture or video having to do with poverty and publish it on the Web.
Stop drinking Coke and bottled water for a day and save on plastic. Will save a lot of plastic if each of us does it for only one day.
Share your skill or knowledge, so they can improve their knowledge to increase their life/prosperity.
Visit an orphanage.
Stop being lazy.
Give comfort to the poor
Invite friends to watch documentaries how poverty destroyed ones life, family and their future.
Do not waste water on that day.
Express your love and compassion for one street child by having an enrollment conversation with her. http://www.compassion.com
Ask your child to share her food with the child of your maid on that day.
Make a list of five items you haven’t used for long and have no plans to use them in future either. And distribute them among local poors with all humility.

sight & mentality

today 9/october is the world sight day every year the WHO tries with other sight realted organizations to put on goals to acheive every year to fall down the number of the blind ppl every year..see this paper for the WHO this year.......
Worldwide, 45 million people are blind, the great majority of whom are
over 50 years of age, but in over three-quarters of cases, especially those
affecting older people, the sight loss results from preventable or treatable
causes (otherwise known as avoidable) - 75% of blindness is avoidable.
- 80% of blind people are over 50 years of age
- Cataract is the world's greatest cause of blindness, yet its cure is
well-known, fast and one of the most cost-effective of all health
interventions
- Timely intervention can preserve sight, so regular eye tests for older
people are essential
The emerging danger to ageing eyes - diabetic retinopathy
At least 171 million people worldwide have diabetes mellitus. This figure
is likely to more than double to an estimated 366 million by 2030, with the
greatest proportionate increase occurring in medium and low-income countries.
Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a common complication of diabetes and has now
become a leading cause of new-onset blindness in many industrialised
countries and an increasingly frequent cause of blindness elsewhere.
Whereas most people with diabetes in industrialised countries are above
the age of retirement, in developing countries those most frequently affected
are much younger, in the 'working' age group between 35 and 64. People in
this situation will be affected by their condition for far longer, for
example living with the resulting sight loss for twenty years or more. The
steep global increase in diabetes will occur because of population ageing and
growth, and because of increasing trends towards obesity, unhealthy diets and
sedentary lifestyles.
Studies have shown that, with good management, many of the complications
of diabetes can be prevented or delayed. Effective management includes
lifestyle measures such as a healthy diet, physical activity, maintaining
appropriate weight and not smoking. Medication often has an important role to
play, particularly for the control of blood glucose, blood pressure and blood
lipids.

so please take care of your heakth as you can save your sight.........may be you don't know that i wish to be a sight saver one day ...........so i hope no more sight loss in this world ....in fact i dream of that day in which no mor eblind ppl in this world .........

**************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

10/10 of every year is the wolrd day of mental health.......as i knew in the WHO definition that there're n o one who 's completly fit in mentalaty,so in libya we rally need more care of mental health , in fact libyans or arabs as all think that who go to a psychitrist or a psychologist is a mad person & of sure he's not .........

PLEASE DON'T HIDE ANY ONE WHO NEEDS TO VISIT A PSYCHOLOGIST OR EVEN A PSYCHITRIST...THIS VIVSIT TO THE DR'S CAN CHANGE HIS LIFE COMPLETELY & EVEN YOU.........

libyan RED CRESENET ..........AFTER 51 YEARS...??~~

SINCE 51 YEARS AGO THE LIBYAN RED CERESENT ASSOCIATIION HAS STARTED IT'S WONDERFUL WORK ....IN FACT I'M NOT A MAEMEBER IN BUT I'LL TRY TO BE SOON .....I VIVSITED THAT PLACE 3 YEARS AGO AS I DID A SMALL VOLUNTEREING WORK WITH MY FRIENDS TO DONATE BLOOD .....REALLY EVERY ONE THERE WAS NICE WITH US BUT ,,,,,IN THAT TIME WE DIDN'T REACH 18 SO MOST OF US COULDN'T DONATE EXEPT 3 BUT EVEN THOUGH , IT WAS REALLY A GOOD CHANCE FOR ME TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THAT PLACE WHICH IS REALLY UNIQUE, IN FACT THEY TOLD US THAT THEY RECIVE ABOUT 100 BLOOD DONATIONS DAILY THAT WAS REALY A GOOD SIGN FOR DONATION IN LIBYA , DON'T THINK THAT THOSE PPL NEED ANT THING THEY DONATE FOR ALL LIBYAN NEEDS..
BUT WHAT I REALLY WISH FROM THEM IS TO CONCENTRATE MORE ABOUT ROAD TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS I KNEW FROM THE RCRC THAT GHANA COULD DECREASE THE DEATHS BECAUSE OF TRAFFIC AS THEY MADDE FIRST AID COURSES TO TAXI & BUS DRIVERS, AS THEY ARE THE MOST PPL WHO FACE THESE SITUATON & THEY ARE ALWAYS ON ROADS......SO WHAT IF THE LIBYAN RED CRESENT FOLLOWS GHANA IN THAT WA Y AT LEAST TO DECREASE THIS DAILY WAR ,,,,,,DON'T LIBYANS DESESRVE THAT ,,,,,I THINK THEY DO.......

THE LIBYANS WAR..WHEN IT'S UP???!!!

SALAM EVERY ONE.AS I A LIBYAN I USD TO HEAR THE LIBYAN TV TO KNOW WHAT'S NEW HERE..BUT REALLY WHAT MAKES ME BOILING EVERY TIME IS THAT BAD ACCOUNTS OF LIBYAN DEATHS ON ROAD TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS ..PLEASE WATCH THE NEWS & SEE HOW THE MAN IS TELLING THAT HIGH NUMBERS..I F I WAS HIM I WON'T SAY THAT AT ALL...WH THEY R COUNTING THEM TO FEEL PROUD OF THEIR STATICS OR WHAT...BUT EVEN IF U DON'T LISTEN T OTHE LIBYAN TV YOU'LL HEAR THA TAS YOU'LL KNOW THAT SOME PPL THAT YOU KNOW DIED OR AT LWAST IN JURED CUZ OF THAT ...WHEN THAT WAR WILL BE ENDEED ..THAT'S WAT REALL I DON'T KNOW YET....BY THE WAY I SAW THESE INFORMATION ABOUT LIBYA NTRAFFIC PLEAASE READ IT IT DESERVES TO KNOW..

"" TRAFFIC SAFETY AND ROAD CONDITIONS: While in a foreign country, U.S. citizens may encounter road conditions that differ significantly from those in the United States. The information below concerning Libya is provided for general reference only, and may not be totally accurate in a particular location or circumstance.
Paved roads in rural areas are satisfactory; however, many rural roads are unpaved (i.e. dirt roads). Also, major highways along the seacoast and leading south merge into single-lane highways once they are outside the cities. These roads are heavily trafficked and precarious to navigate, especially at night and during the winter rainy season. The presence of sand deposits, and domestic and wild animals that frequently cross these highways and rural roads, makes them even more hazardous.
Availability of roadside assistance is extremely limited and offered only in Arabic. In urban areas and near the outskirts of major cities there is a greater possibility of assistance by police and emergency ambulance services, although they are usually ill equipped to deal with serious injuries or accidents.
Driving in Libya may be hazardous, and there is a high accident rate. Police enforcement of traffic signs and laws is rare. As a result, it is often difficult to anticipate the actions of other drivers on Libyan streets and highways. Wind-blown sand can reduce visibility without warning. Road conditions are poor, and public transportation, which is limited to occasional bus service, is poor. Taxis are available, but many taxi drivers are reckless and untrained, and English-speaking drivers are extremely rare. The sidewalks in urban areas are often in bad condition and cluttered, but pedestrians are able to use them.

SO WHAT DO YOU THINK LIBYANS I THINK THAT WAS TOTTALY TRUE ..& WHAT'S THE ANSWER WE HOPE...

BE'AR ALALSHHAB.......& THE LION OF THE DESERT

YEAH....IT'S THE FIRST TIME FOR ME TOOTO KNOW THAT OMAR ALMOKHTAR THE LION OF THE DESERT IS BORN THERE.......AS WE ALL KNOW TOMORROW OMAR ALMOKHTAR WAS HANGED 77 YEARS AGO...HERE ARE SOME OF THE INFORMATION THAT YOU SHOULD ALL KNOW...HE'S FROM TRIPE MNAFY WHICH BELONGS TO HASHEM BEN MANAF .FROM QURAISH/MEKAH
HE WAS BORN IN 1858 IN BEA'R ALASHHAB IN EASTERN LIBYA NEAR TUBROQ..HIS FATHER DIED AS HE WAS COMING FROM HAJJ WITH HIS MOTHER.......HE LEARENED QURAN BY HEART & WENT TO JAGBOUB AS HE CONTINUED & WORKED THERE
He was the leader of the resistance movement against the Italian military occupation of Libya for more than twenty years. In 1912, following the Italian capture of Libya from the occupying Turks the previous year, Omar Mukhtar organized and devised strategies for the Libyan resistance against the Italian colonization.
Mukhtar’s nearly twenty year struggle came to an end when he became wounded in battle and was subsequently captured by the Italian army. The Libyan hero was treated like a prize catch by the Italians. However, his resilience had an impact on his jailers, who later said they were overwhelmed by his steadfastness. His interrogators later confessed that Mukhtar looked them in the eye and read verses of peace from the Qur'an as he was tortured and interrogated.
Mukhtar was tried, convicted, and sentenced to be executed by hanging in a public place. The fairness of his trial has been disputed by historians and scholars When asked if he wished to say any last words, he replied with the Qur'anic clause: "From Allah we have come, and to Allah we will return." On September 16, 1931, in the hope that the Libyan resistance movement would wither and die without him, Mukhtar died by hanging in front of his followers in the concentration camp of Solluqon on the orders of the Italian court
REALLY THOSE INFORMATION WERE TAKEN FROM http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omar_Mukhtar SO ARE U ALL STILL PROUD OF HIM........FOR ME ABSOLUTLEY YEAH

Ramadan in lines .......but not as i used it...can it be

salam every one...i wish you all to enjoy this month with prays & fasting...really in libya is very enjoyable...even if i don't go out alot but i love 2 go 2 one place most of benghazya know it well..& you can't be in Benghazi in ramadn & u don't go there.....really you'll miss alot.....as you go there you'll see the crowed which starts at abut 2pm..alot of home made libyan bread"tanoor",harrisa,emsaer,boreek,olives,knafaa,...etc..& of course fireworks...really i used 2 go there since i was a child with my mum or dad..i'm talking about (SOAG ALHOOT)...even though you can see there the ppl who are buying things alot "MHASHESHEN".........

(FATAR FY RAMDAN ANDERO KARSHTA OSBAN)......libyan childern with high voices you'll hear them singing this song as htey see any other child who eats in ramdan..not only singing but laughing at that unlucky child who ate infront of them......

Really those are some of the things that link benghazya as a a whole withour traditions that we lost most of them.....but for me really it'll be so different as lost my grandfather"gady" who learend me alot ,,he learned me 2 be a libyan girl,hw to eat bazeen,hw to sit & talk with people ....& lots of thing even he was speaking with me in english to support my language...he...i can't say more..but even his death supported me to be a doctor just to save the lives of all grands..grandy i miss you so much,i miss your place in marboaa..i misss your voice..i miss you hands pressing my hands,,,i know you did it for me as the last thing.... ,where'll i go in the first night of ramadan...who'll chat& laugh with me.....really allah yarhma we ysamha....& all musims
but i lost my grandmum too"hanny" who was the stricted person..the lady who bring 2 life 4 men all who know them talk abut her,hw did she survived &saved her children after grandy get injured in the war as he "allah yarmah"lost his sight&hearing abilities..
so ramdan this year is not as i used to it...allah bless them all & save for us our only grandmum"amy ".........
really sorry for sharing those sad stories but it's life........HAPPY RAMDAN..& as ppl say ramadan comes with it's own favour...'

Monday, August 25, 2008

salam evry ine i eish you all happy ramadn...........
holiday is at it's end& schools are waiting for their students....& students too....you can see every one is buying new clothes..newbooks,bags,.....etc
& schools too are nearly ready for students with their new look & new labs & computers...so it's all ready....& that's not my point what i wanna 2 talk about is school cantins...really i love that days while we were crowded at the cantain trying 2 get our sandwishes pushing each others...but really is there any medical view about this food....i'm not talking about if it's clean or not...i'm talking about the daily requirement for those students,,,,really as a student the cantain don't contain any heaklthy drinks......just pepesi& high calories juicies...& white bread....really isn't it time 2 make a prohibted food at school at leat...why we can't see brown bread & low calories diet at cantains, where's yougharat ....
i know why cuz sorry for the word we're still ignorants about our children's health..........it's your turn now.........ask your headmaster if you are a student, or father to make the cantain more healther....not for you but for libyan youth...don't they deserve at least healthy food.....
by the way ppl alla around the world care...

CAN ACACUS BE ONE OF THE world seven wonders.......WHY NOT....??!!

........don't you know acacus ....alo t of libyans answeed me yes.what's it??????? what a real shame....acacus is a wonderful place in libya that we should all be proud of....really i started thinking of it yesterday while i was trying to vote for the world 7 wonders of nature...i saw places from every where...but none from libya....really from the first time i thought why not ACACUS.....???
I FIND THIS PLACE MORE THANWONDERFUL EVEN IF I HAVE NEVER BEEN THERE....ANY WAY...

Tadrart Acacus (Arabic: تدرارت أكاكوس‎) is a desert area in western Libya and is part of the Sahara. It is situated close to the city Ghat and not far from the Algerian border. Tadrart means 'mountain' in the native language of the area(Tamahaq language). It has a particularly rich array of prehistoric rock art.

The Acacus has a large variation of landscapes, from differently coloured sanddunes to arches, gorges, rocks and mountains. Major landmarks are the arches of Afzejare and Tin Khlega. Although this area is one of the most arid of the Sahara, there is vegetation, such as the callotropis plant.

The area is known for its rock-art and was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985 because of the importance of these paintings and carvings. The paintings date from 12,000 BC to 100 AD and reflect cultural and natural changes in the area.[1] There are paintings and carvings of animals such as giraffes, elephants, ostriches and camels, but also of men and horses. Men are depicted in various daily life situations, for example while making music and dancing.
SO AFTER ALL OF THAT ,,,IF U LIKE 2 SUPPORT IT PLEASE FOLLOW THIS LINK:

http://www.new7wonders.com/nature/en/nomination/
FILL THE REGISTRATION FORM 2 MAKE IT A NOMINNEE...& THEN ADD IT'S NAME "ACACUS MOUNTAINS" & CHOOSE MOUNTAIN & THEN CHOOSE LIBYA......
EVEN IF ACACUS WON'T BE ONE OF THE WORLD SEVEN WONDERS AT LEAST WE GIVE IT THE CHANCE 2 BE WILL KNOWN....IT'S YOUR TURN NOW TELL EVERY ONE ABOUT ACACUS
